Falwell's overreaching again...
This is the living end. The man has named the School of Government at his Wingnut Liberty University after my former homophobic, racist senator Jesse Helms. Falwell plans new coalition to recruit 10 million new evangelical voters for 2006 and 2008. This blowhard is so out of control. Read the drivel, courtesy of The Raw Story. Two days after the November re-election of President George W. Bush and the substantial increase of pro-life and pro-family members of Congress in both the House and Senate, I announced the formation of The Moral Majority Coalition (TMMC).
A primary goal of TMMC is the registration of 10 million new evangelical voters for the 2006 and 2008 general elections. We have no time to waste if we are to reach this ambitious goal.
Effective January 2, 2005 I am launching a four-year voter registration campaign I call “OPERATION: CHRISTIAN VOTE".
TMMC will work in conjunction with the new Helms School of Government at Liberty University . Named for retired five-term conservative North Carolina Senator Jesse Helms, whom I consider a true statesman and a national treasure, this school seeks to train young people to enter public service with a Christian worldview and a bold passion to confront a liberal-oriented culture.
Through “OPERATION: CHRISTIAN VOTE", students at Liberty will spend weekends and summers over the next four years working hand-in-hand with pastors and staff members of evangelical churches all over America, registering voters in the churches and neighborhoods along with educating parishioners on issues of concern to them.
...With more than 225,000 Bible-believing churches in this nation, the potential impact of such a massive voter registration campaign is tremendous.
I believe that America was founded as a Christian nation, respective and tolerant of all religions, but we are indeed One Nation Under God. And it’s time that the people of God exercised their right to vote and vote their Christian convictions.
“OPERATION: CHRISTIAN VOTE” is the most ambitious voter registration project undertaking I have launched since we registered 8.5 million voters through the Moral Majority in 1979 and 1980, resulting in the election of President Ronald Reagan.
“OPERATION: CHRISTIAN VOTE” can result in an overwhelming victory for socially, politically and fiscally conservative candidates in coming elections and it may be the catalyst that saves our nation. I am seeking nothing less than overwhelming victory at the ballot box!
He goes on to make a plea for $25 contributions for the cause, which will get you a CD called "Hymns" featuring Robbie Hiner and the OTGH Quartet "singing classic hymns of the faith like: Tis So Sweet To Trust In Jesus, Nothing But The Blood, Victory In Jesus, There is a Fountain Filled With Blood, Send The Light, In The Garden, The Old Rugged Cross and more."

If it weren't such a repulsive thought, I would think these two fucktards were lovers in their younger days (when they could still get it up). They are so old, they have die soon, right? Oh, that was one funny post, Impeach. Funny Helms story...while he was still in office, he had some sort of cardiac or abdominal surgery and folks wondered if there would be an "accident" if a Dem was the surgeon. His heart did stop beating during the surgery, but the ticker came back around. The consensus is that he was too evil to die.

Any bets on when he finally does die, a mixed child he never acknowledged comes forward? Nah, he has outlived them all. Strom tried to outlive his daughter!
Really wish she would have stepped forward sooner so his hateful bigotry would have shown how truly disgusting he really was. Probably too painful for her to acknowledge him. -
I can top it all. My father is a black Republican and he has met with and voted for Jesse Helms. AND he served as head of the Durham County Republican party.
